Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with B.Sc. Aeronautics

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a specialized field of study that involves the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and their components. This field requires a combination of technical knowledge, practical skills, and regulatory compliance.

A Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics is a degree program that provides students with a broad understanding of the science, technology, and management of aviation. This program covers topics such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft design, and aviation safety.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with a Degree in aeronautics can be an excellent career choice for individuals who are interested in the technical aspects of aviation. It can also provide a pathway to higher-level positions in the industry, such as management or consulting roles.

This unique combination of 3 years Dual program makes students eligible for multiple job opportunities. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course can be pursued with our Institute which is approved by DGCA Govt. of India. The B.Sc. Aeronautics is affiliated to one of the top-notch Universities of Mumbai. It is therefore imperative that such a degree course would help the students to make their career in Aviation. All government & private aviation organizations and aircraft & spacecraft manufacturing and testing units generally require trained candidates.

WCAT Institute offers DGCA-approved CAR 147 (Basic) Aircraft Maintenance License training and covers the following Categories, Category B1.1 (Mechanical) & Category B2 (Avionics). The course is meant for preparing the students for getting Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licenses in various categories which are issued by DGCA after the student has passed the module examination conducted by DGCA.

Available Specializations (Mechanical B1.1) & Avionics B2.

CATEGORY B1.1 MECHANICS

Category B 1.1 Basic License includes all the privileges of category Al. After attaining Type Rating for a particular aircraft, the person becomes a full-fledged Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to cover repair, replacement or rectification of structure, engine, mechanical systems, electrical & Hydraulic systems for that type of aircraft. He is also authorized to cover Avionics systems requiring simple tests without troubleshooting. This category license holder is employable in line maintenance as well as Major Maintenance for the type of Aircraft.
