Admission would be based on Merit in the SSC and HSC Examination and Entrance Examination by Sandip University, as applicable.
1) B.Tech AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
Eligibility: 50% in PCM in HSC / Equivalent 45% in PCM (For Reserved Category)
There is unprecedented boom in the Aviation Industry both in Civil & Defense Sectors as never before. India is the 9th largest civil aviation market in the world and is expected to be amongst the top five nations in the world in the next 10 years in the aviation sector. The Phenomenal growth of aerospace industry in India is reflected in the participation of private industry. As the aerospace industry is growing at 18%, it is bound to generate an estimated 2.6 million jobs in the next one decade as stated by Dr. Nasim Zaide, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation.. As such demand of Aeronautical Engineers is expected to show marked growth in coming years. Several Foreign Aviation Companies like, Lufthansa, Boeing, Airbus are establishing their Maintenance Repair and Overhauling (MRO) units in India. India has joined elite group of countries with advanced space technology by launching several Indian and foreign satellites using ASLV and PSLVs. Presently ISRO is working on development of reusable launch vehicles.
But there is no appreciable growth in the human resource which is essential to sustain such a rapid growth of industry. The number of educational institutions offering Aerospace Engineering Degree course are quite limited. According to some estimates the number of jobs in the aviation could run into several Lakhs. This Yawning gap between demand & supply is required to be corrected.
Keeping the above requirement in mind, Aeronautical Engineering Research Organization has launched BTech Aerospace Engineering degree courses at Sandip University, Nashik. AERO is a knowlwdge partner of Sandip University.The course will be delivered at Sandip University and degree will be awarded by Sandip University.
2) INTEGRATED PROGRAM
(Diploma in Mechanical Engineering + B.Tech Aerospace Engineering)
Eligibility: 35% in SSC / Equivalent
A large number of students join Diploma in Engineering courses keeping in view of the availability of jobs in industry. However, the future prospects for Diploma holders are not bright as compared to the degree holders. There are restrictions for lateral entry into degree courses and the number of admissions through later entry is limited. Hence the students suffer.
Aeronautical Engineering and Research Organization has thought over the existing problem and came out with a solution of initiating an integrated degree program in Aerospace Engineering of 6 years duration. A student joining this program will automatically be admitted into the second year of BTech Aerospace Engineering program and thus in six years he will complete his degree program.
The student will get a diploma certificate in Mechanical Engineering after successfully completing three years of Diploma course and then degree certificate of BTech Aerospace Engineering after successfully completing last three years of degree program. The certificates / Degree will be awarded by Sandip University, Nashik. The course will be delivered at Sandip University, Nashik.
3) BS ENGINEERING PROGRAM USA
Collaboration with universities in USA is being pursued for conducting undergraduate courses in Engineering in India in twinning / blended learning mode. The student studies for two years in India and the credits are transferred to a university in USA for the rest of the studies for two years.
Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology (IIAEIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the State University of New York to conduct the following courses in articulation (Twinning) mode.

- Mechanical Engineering Technology BS Degree Program
- Manufacturing Engineering Technology BS Degree Program
- Software Technology BS Degree Program
- Electrical Engineering Technology BS Degree Program
- Aviation Administration BS Degree Program
- Facility Management Technology BS Degree Program
This articulation process will result in the opportunity for the students from Sandip University to transfer to Farmingdale State College of State University of New York after two successful years of study at Sandip University. Students must successfully complete the first two years with a GPA/other criteria as specified by FSC to be eligible to enter FSC in third-year standing.
This program has been introduced at Sandip University by IIAEIT to impart education at internationally accepted quality and norms. This program would save a major chunk of money by studying the foreign degree curriculum in India for two years.
4) BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AERONAUTICS – Affiliated to University of Mumbai
Eligibility: HSC (10 + 2 ) of MSBHSC or equivalent of any other Government
state board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% for reserve category) with
English, Physics and Mathematics subjects
Diploma (10 + 3) awarded by MSBTE or equivalent by any other Government body in
following branches of engineering.
