Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
Embark on an Exciting Journey in Aviation with WCAT Institute’s Unique Dual Program!
Program Overview:
At WCAT Institute, we are dedicated to providing exceptional education in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) that is approved by DGCA Government of India. Our focus is solely on delivering a specialized and rigorous program that equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in aircraft maintenance.
Key Features:
Rigorous Training in Mechanical and Avionics:
Our program covers the essential aspects of aircraft maintenance, focusing on mechanical systems, engines, structures, electrical systems, avionics, and more. Students gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining various types of aircraft
Practical Learning with Industry-Relevant Modules:
Dive into modules that cover crucial topics, including Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals, Digital Techniques, Materials & Hardware, Maintenance Practices, Aerodynamics, Human Factors, Aviation Legislation, and specialized modules depending on your chosen category.
Live Aircraft Interaction:
WCAT Institute goes beyond traditional classroom learning. Students have the unique opportunity to work with live aircraft, applying their skills directly to operational machines. This hands-on approach not only enhances technical proficiency but also instills a deep understanding of the complexities involved in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
DGCA-Approved CAR 147 (Basic) Training:
WCAT Institute provides DGCA-approved CAR 147 (Basic) Aircraft Maintenance License training. This ensures that our graduates meet the regulatory requirements set by DGCA, positioning them as competent and qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
State-of-the-Art Labs:
WCAT Institute is equipped with cutting-edge labs and facilities dedicated to aircraft maintenance training. Our commitment to practical learning ensures that students are well-prepared for the challenges of real-world aircraft maintenance scenarios.
Cultural Enrichment Activities:
At WCAT Institute, we understand the importance of holistic development. In addition to the technical curriculum, we offer a range of cultural enrichment activities. Students can participate in aviation-themed cultural events, workshops, and seminars, fostering a vibrant and collaborative community. These activities not only provide a well-rounded educational experience but also contribute to the personal and professional growth of our students.
Specializations Available:
Category B1.1 Mechanics:
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the B1.1 category possess comprehensive skills in aircraft mechanics. After obtaining the Type Rating for a specific aircraft, they become licensed to perform repair, replacement, or rectification of structure, engine, mechanical systems, electrical, and hydraulic systems for that particular aircraft. This specialization includes authorization for avionics systems with simple tests but without troubleshooting. B1.1 license holders are employable in line maintenance as well as major maintenance for their designated aircraft.
Modules for B1.1:
- Electrical Fundamentals
- Electronic Fundamentals
- Digital Techniques Electronic Instrument Systems
- Materials & Hardware
- Maintenance Practices
- Basic Aerodynamics
- Human Factors
- Aviation Legislation
- Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures, and Systems
- Gas Turbine Engine
- Propeller
Category B2 Avionics:
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with a B2 category specialization are responsible for maintaining avionic systems in airworthiness condition. This includes electrical systems, instrument systems, navigation systems, communication systems, radar systems, and emergency warning systems. B2 engineers may also have limited scope authorization on mechanical systems.
Modules for B2:
- Electrical Fundamentals
- Electronic Fundamentals
- Digital Techniques Electronic Instrument Systems
- Materials & Hardware
- Maintenance Practices
- Basic Aerodynamics
- Human Factors
- Aviation Legislation
